Sample of a few letters received by Gary Kadow and CPOA of Northeast Ohio

......"You may find it surprising that one company can service four athletes from the same family, but you need to realize the benefits derived from what we have considered "great service".  CPOA was new to Northern Ohio in the early 90's.  Sports coverage and print media publicity have always been minimal since we reside over 50 miles from a major city.  Limited publicity, means limited exposure to colleges, thus limited opportunities to find the perfect match for the student athlete. ........Looking back, would we have invested in CPOA's services?------YES, because anything that can bring about success and happiness in our children is well worth every penny!  A great education and great memories help enhance personal image.  CPOA has the means, know-how, expertise and service to its customers around the world.  The smile on your child's face when they step foot on the college campus is worth every penny spent.  Thanks CPOA, and Gary Kadow for all of your help!

Rick Nemet, Father of------Suzanne (Marietta College), Stephanie (Marietta College), Jennifer (West Liberty State WV), Dan (College of Wooster OH)

Mr. Kadow from College Prospects met with me during my senior year in high school.  We discussed academic and athletic information to make a profile that was sent to various schools around the country, as well as posted on the CPOA web-site.  I was getting calls and emails almost instantly from a wide variety of college baseball programs including NCAA D-II, D-III, NAIA and Junior College programs.  Since I had many schools to choose from I was able to slim down my options and go on college visits.  It was throught his process that I initially choose Muscatine, a Junior College in Iowa.  Since Muscatine is part of the NJCAA, Mr. Kadow refined my search for a four year university once I decided to move on.  The recruitment process then helped me land at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio, a NAIA school.  Without the help of Mr. Kadow and College Prospects of America, these opportunities would not have been possible.

Aaron Suydam (Muscatine CC Iowa & Shawnee State University)

Dear Gary:

I am writing this letter to thank you for your services.  My wife, daughter (Kayla) and I came to you for help in showcasing Kayla's talents for recruitment to colleges. After the intial wave of recruitment letters, we were contacted by Steve Potts, Head Coach for Salem International University in W.V.  As a direct result of your intervening, Coach Potts has offered Kayla a substantial scholarship.  Without your services, we would have never been able to connect with the amount of schools that contacted us, nor would we have been able to take advantage of this scholarship.  I plan on contacting your again in the spring to have you work with my daughter, Shannon, and would not hesitate to recomment you to other parents and players.

Thank You again for your services and please feel free to use me as a reference in the future!

Gerald Lynch (Father of Kayla) Salem International University (D-II) West Virginia

Brandon Hewitt...."I am amazed at the response we had to your college contacts.  We had over 300 inquiries from all over the country, different NCAA and NAIA schools.  His choice of Cleveland State came after much deliberation on how and where he wanted to spend the next four years.  Once he determined he did not want to go out of state, the decision was based on which college had the best degree program to suit his interests.  We recommend your recruitment program to any family with a child interested in playing collegiate sports. A "top" athlete may be easier to place, but the process can be more daunting.  We would not have known how to handle the recruitment pressure without the guidelines provided by College Prospects. Plus, your financial aid department was outstanding in explaining the FAFSA paperwork!"......

.......Jennifer signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball for the University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri S & T University).  The school met all of her criteria. (A) Reputation nationally as a school strong in the sciences, (B) strong softball program, (C) opportunity to make impact as a freshmen, (D) better weather than Chardon, Ohio.  Many people, especially coaches told us utilizing your services would be a waste of money.  I can now refute that.  Jen has been inundated with letters from softball coaches across the country, and some nights, three or four different coaches would call.  She never would have had this much exposure if it were not for your help in getting her name out there.  Thanks again!!

Janet O'Hara (Mother of Jennifer) University of Missouri-Rolla

(School changed name to) ------Missouri S & T University

"I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated working with you and the College Prospects program in assisting Tonia in achieving her college goals.  The efforts, help and support provided by you and the program gave Tonia the opportunity to make herself known to colleges nationwide through the mailings, video tape and the web-site.  Without the program she would not have been able to reach such a volume of schools and receive the interest in her from college coaches."..........We went on some visits, some of them being official ones, and considered all of her opportunities.  She received part athletic & academic scholarship money, as well as grant & loan money giving her almost a FULL RIDE package to a $20,000 a year school".......

Ronda Brennen (Mother of Tonia) High Point University, North Carolina

"Hi Gary !  Shavonne has been officially admitted to the University of Michigan.  She has received a verbal offer from the head track coach of full tuition, books and fees.  To help with the remaining room and board, she has received an out of state academic scholarship of 20K for four years.........The women's track team captured the Big 10 indoor title, edging Indiana by 2.5 points, and Michigan's head coach was named Coach of the Year.......Thanks for all of your help!  Filing the FAFSA online was a huge help to me by removing that headache of a form to fill out......"

Langston Maclin (Father of Shavonne,  Ohio HS 400 meter STATE CHAMPION) University of Michigan

Gary Kadow of CPOA performed recruiting services for me during my senior year in high school.  My name and academic and athletic information was sent to virtually every D-II and D-III baseball program in America.  This process worked extremely well and with this exposure, I was able to make trips to multiple schools and talk to multiple college coaches.  I eventually chose to attend Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, and compete in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.  During my time at Hendrix, our team made its first ever trip to the NCAA D-III Tournament in Oregon.  Mr. Kadow was instrumental in opening many doors for me, and was ultimately responsible for my college career.  Without the help of Mr. Kadow and CPOA, I would never have been exposed to all the opportunities that were available to me!  These opportunities ultimately led to a successful four year college career on the baseball diamond, and in the classroom!!!

Jordan Suydam,(Hendrix College, Arkansas)

....."We appreciate everything that College Prospects and yourself did for Josh and our family in assisting with the college selection process.  Josh was exposed to lots of different colleges that we were not familiar with (including Mercyhurst); allowed us as a family to save some money in college cost and allowed him to continue his soccer career for a few more years.  We will stay in touch and keep you updated on how things work out".......

Mel Long (Father of Josh) Mercyhurst College Pennsylvania

"Sorry I am late writing this letter to you, but I would like to thank you for the time you spent helping Michelle find the right college program for her.  As you know, she decided to go to Notre Dame of Ohio.  The school seems to be a perfect fit for her, and to be honest, she probably wouldn't have even considered it without having been approached by the softball coach there.  Through College Prospects she had many contacts, spoke to many coaches and visited several schools.  It has what she wants academically, and she can make an immediate impact on their softball program.  She had substantial offers from several schools and through College Prospects she was lucky enough to have a choice!  Even though her high school team was the state champion, she could not have got the recognition she got without CPOA.".........

Nancy White (Mother of Michelle 2000 Girls Softball STATE CHAMPION) Notre Dame of Ohio (NAIA)

Trenton Hillier, 2003 "We want to thank you for being part of the most exciting occurrence to date in Trenton's life. Two months ago we attended the Georgetown Hoyas' Midnight Madness.  The lights went out at 11:45 PM, the laser and fireworks show began, the music intensified and the fog by the entrance to the locker room began to swirl.  3,000 cheering fans were screaming at the top of their lungs!  In a loud voice, the announcer said "TRENTON HILLIER, 6" GUARD FROM CHAGRIN FALLS, OHIO"... ...Words cannot describe the feelings we had when he came through that fog!  Trenton said it best. "It was a dream come true."  To be part of a Division I, Big East Program says it all...............To the parents of any potential recruit, we have only this to say.  "Do not hesitate to sign with Gary Kadow.  He will do all he can for your child"........

Lester & Debbie Hillier (Parents of Trenton) Georgetown University D.C.

......."The ultimate result is she will be playing NCAA Division I Tennis for Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York..........We appreciate all the individual attention you provided, all your expert help and advise.  This is a rather stressful time for students and parents and you certainly helped make it much easier.  I would recommend Gary Kadow and College Prospects to any student athlete, (I already have)

Helen Germ (Mother of Courtney McGeever) Marist College New York

......."Gary encouraged Jon's academics as well as his athletic potential.  He advised that Jon attend summer football camps to enhance his athletics.  He sent Jon's CPOA profile that highlighted academic and athletic potential to more than 400 universities matched to Jon's academic and athletic interests.  More than 160 schools, including Ivy League Institutions and Military Academies contacted him...............He has a solid financial package made possible because he emphasized academics first, then focused on football.  CPOA opened doors and allowed us to see possibilities.

Robin Luthanen (Mother of Jon) Franklin College Indiana

........Thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn about so many colleges!  I would have never thought that I would be contacted by such a variety of schools, but you and your program made it all possible.  My family and I were able to visit several college campuses and meet some very nice people and coaches.  Thanks again for everything you did for me, this was a wonderful experience!

Johnathan Thorr, University of Pittsburgh at Bradford

Gary:  Chelsea begins at Seton Hill University on August 23rd, and her golf schedule begins in early September.  Her package worked out as we thought.  She has only about $4,500 in loans, and we had to pay about $800 up front per semester.  (Seton Hill's published cost is well over $21,000 a year)  Your service was EVERYTHING that was advertised.  She could never have received an offer like that without CPOA.  Our son Tim wants to play college baseball.  We hope you can do for him, what you did for Chelsea...............

Ed Spencer (Father of Chelsea) Seton Hill University Pennsylvania (NAIA)

Dear Mr. Kadow, CPOA Rep:

I am writing this letter to thank CPOA for the outstanding job that was done for my children, Craig and Kay Ann.  I admit I was not completely sold on the CPOA idea, but decided to try it for my son.  Our corner of Ohio is not highly recruited because there are no colleges close-by in state.  Craig received over 150 contacts to play baseball from NCAA D-II and D-III schools as well as NAIA.  It took some research on our part to find the best fit, academics and athletics, but the University of Indianapolis (D-II) became his school of choice.  He received both academic and athletic grants.  The bottom line was, he got a great education, started on the baseball team for two and a half years, met his wife, and never had to pay more than $3,000 for any year.

I couldn't wait for my daughter to sign up with CPOA.  We started during her junior year.  Kay Ann was a talented basketball player with a 4.0 GPA She was recruited nationwide by about (10) D-I schools, (20) D-II schools and over (200) D-III and NAIA schools.  But then, a very odd thing occurred---she decided not to play basketball in college.  In January of her senior year, CPOA sent out a softball referral to regional colleges.   I felt we were too late and nothing would happen.  Kay still received over 50 recruiting letters, and decided to attend West Virginia Wesleyan (D-II).  She received both athletic and academic grants.  Her bottom line was a great education and D-II Regional All-American in softball, and we never paid more than $3,800 for any year.  Considering my daughters change of heart to softball, CPOA really saved us.

Thanks again for your service. Without CPOA, I don't know what we would have happened, but it worked out great!!!!!

PS: If any of your customers want to talk to me, have them call!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bill Fails, Father of Craig (University of Indianapolis) and Kay Ann (West Virginia Wesleyan)

Dear Gary,

I have made my college decision and have signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Houghton College (New York) in the upcoming season.  They presented me with the best opportunity to play significant varsity minutes as a freshman.  Also, Houghton gave me a 50% athletic scholarship.  Thanks for all of your help!!!

Brian Craigo, Houghton College (NAIA) New York
